Daniel McVicar
Daniel McVicar is a Director for the White House Writers Group, where he provides research and strategic communications support to multiple client teams ranging from agriculture to security.
Some of his contributions include monitoring regulatory developments, fact-checking news, developing strategies to improve media coverage, and providing in depth reports for clients and internal stakeholders.
Prior to joining WHWG, Daniel worked as a Staff Assistant and Researcher for Member of European Parliament Jan Zahradil in Strasbourg, France. In this role, he researched party and national voting positions for plenary sessions, and translated documents between Czech, French, and English. Daniel also analyzed foreign companies filing for investment in the US in his internship in the State Department's Office of Investment Affairs
Daniel holds a Master's in Strategic Studies from the University of St Andrews. His dissertation focused on interstate geopolitical conflict in the Arctic region. Daniel also holds a BA in Economics and International Studies from the College of the Holy Cross. He lives in Northern Virginia.
